Lapeer County is a great place to live and also a very good investment. Unit sales are only down slightly (882 vs 889 in 2023 per Realcomp MLS) Part of the decrease in unit sales is due to the higher interest rates, but I think the biggest cause is the lack of inventory. The interest rates today are about on par with the interest rates in 2002 and 2003 when there wasn't a lack of sales.

On 1-11-2025 there were only 201 active listings and 63 sales pending.

The average sales price in 2024 was $327,831- up 8.6% from 2023 and up over 26% from 2020..

One of the beautiful things about Lapeer County is it's location. You get more house for your money in exchange for a little longer drive.
